4 BRUINS QUALIFY FOR STATE MEET
The Ponderosa Bruins qualified four wrestlers this past weekend for the State Meet next weekend in Bakersfield. Alex Greybill and Allen Emmons both reached the semi-finals on Friday night which secured their trips to state.

The Bruins qualified all 14 wrestlers to the Masters tournament next weekend in Stockton.
14 BRUINS MOVING ON TO MASTERS
All 14 wrestlers qualified for the Masters tournament next weekend in Stockton. They all were qualified after the first day of competition as they reached the top 8. The Bruins had seven reach the divisional finals but the lone champion was Erik Greybill. The six Bruins finishing in 2nd were; Sean Melton, Walker Ditrich, Chip Hendricks, Nick Troquato, Devon Nooner and Allen Emmons. Battling back and taking 3rd place were Alex Greybill, Jeff Camilli and Riley Nooner. The Bruins fell just 12 points shy of Vacaville for the title and had to settle for a 2nd place finish.

On Saturday evening Sean Melton became one of five Bruin Delta River League champions.
14 BRUINS MOVING ON TO DIVISIONALS
Ponderosa won its 38th league championship and 1st division 1 league championship in school history this Saturday at Pleasant Grove HS. Individual Delta River League Champions included Daniel Gorans (103), Tim Ditrich (125), Sean Melton (130), Walker Ditrich (135), Allen Emmons (171). Runner- up finishers included Erik Greybill (112), Alex Greybill (119), Chip Hendricks (145), Devon Nooner (160), Jeff Camilli (215) and Riley Nooner (HWT). Ponderosa qualified all 14 wrestlers to the divisional meet next Friday and Saturday at Franklin High School in Elk Grove. Ponderosa will be working hard to qualify all 14 wrestlers onto the Masters Meet in Stockton the following week. Hope to see you there supporting our BRUINS.

On Wednesday night Jeff Camilli got the fall to lock up the dual meet and the league championship.
BRUINS LOCK UP LEAGUE TITLE
The Bruins locked up the league title last night at home when they defeated Pleasant Grove by a score of 61-12. Ponderosa suffereed only two loses and won the rest of the twelve. Jeff Camilli's fall secured the meet and the league title for the Bruins. This title is the first Delta River League title for the Bruins. With this league title, the Bruins have qualified and will compete in the Division 1 Team Section Championships this weekend in Stockton. Ponderosa could be face powerhouse's such as Elk Grove, Golden Valley and Vacaville. Wrestling will begin at 9am on Saturday at Lincoln High School in Stockton.

BRUINS 3RD AT PLACER DUALS
Wednesday night was another great night for the Bruins as they took down the Folsom Bulldogs. Ponderosa had a slight lead most the night but secured the win when Erik Greybill got the pin at 112 lbs. Alex Greybill finished off the night with a big win over Connor Pollock with a one point victory and made the final score 36-21. Allen Emmons also got a big fall at 160 lbs. and Riley Nooner got a decision at heavyweight. Also winning their matches were; Tim Ditrich, Sean Melton, Walker Ditrich, Chip Hendricks and Devon Nooner.

PONDO TAKES DOWN THE BULLDOGS
Wednesday night was another great night for the Bruins as they took down the Folsom Bulldogs. Ponderosa had a slight lead most the night but secured the win when Erik Greybill got the pin at 112 lbs. Next up for the Bruins will be the Placer Duals on Saturday. The Bruins finished in 3rd place there last season and will look to improve on that finish.

Tim Ditrich finished in fourth place this weekend at the Tim Brown Memorial in downtown Sacramento.
PONDO 3RD PLACE AT TIM BROWN MEMORIAL
Ponderosa had a pretty good weekend in downtown Sacramento at the Tim Brown Memorial tournament. Ponderosa finished in 3rd place behind 2nd place Chico and the champions, Oakdale. They finished with six placers on Saturday; Erik Greybill 3rd, Tim Ditrich 4th, Allen Emmons 5th, Riley Nooner 6th, Sean Melton 8th and Christian Canepa 8th.

Next up for the Bruins will be a home dual meet against Folsom at 6pm on Wednesdy night. This dual will be the biggest challenge this season for the Bruins and will decide the Delta River League Championship.

On Wednesday night, Jorden Marinelli got the Bruins going by winning his match in overtime.
BRUINS DEFEAT THE TROJANS
Ponderosa moved to 3-0 in league when they defeated Oak Ridge in their own gym. The Bruins jumped out to a huge lead as they won the first ten matches. The trojans then took two of the last four matches to make the dual a final at 62-10. A lot of the young Bruins stepped up and got big wins to help the Bruins cruise to the victory. Next week's match at home against the Folsom Bulldogs will decide the league championship.

On Wednesday evening, Devon Nooner got a pin to help the Bruins defeat Jesuit, 78-6.
BRUINS GET FIRST LEAGUE DUAL WIN
Ponderosa took down Jesuit on Wednesday night at home by a score of 78-6. The meet was the Bruins' first league action of the season. Pondo receieved several forfeits and won six other matches by fall. Getting pins for the Bruins were; Devon Nooner, Erik Greybill, Tim Ditrich, Sean Melton, Walker Ditrich and Chip Hendricks.

BRUINS FIFTH AT SIERRA NEVADA CLASSIC
Ponderosa on Monday travelled up the hill to Reno to compete in the big Reno Nevada Classic on Tuesday and Wednesday. When it was all said and done, the Bruins finished in 5th place and had five individuals place in the top eight. Coming home with medals were; Erik Greybill 3rd, Tim Ditrich 6th, Jeff Camilli 7th, Alex Greybill 8th and Riley Nooner 8th. The finished in 5th place just behind two other California teams and two out-of-state teams.

On Saturday, Allen Emmons won the 171 lb. weight class in Wheatland.
BRUINS FIRST PLACE IN WHEATLAND
Ponderosa won the 12th Annual Christopher Savedra Invitational this past weekend in Wheatland. Coming home as champions were; Erik Greybill, Alex Greybill, Tim Ditrich and Allen Emmons. Also placing were; Sean Melton 2nd, Walker Ditrich 2nd, Chip Hendricks 3rd, Nick Troquato 3rd, Jorden Marinelli 3rd and Jeff Camilli 2nd. Ponderosa scored 237.5 team points with Roseville coming in 2nd with 173.

BRUINS FIRST PLACE AT PONDO DUALS
Ponderosa stayed at home this Friday for the Ponderosa Duals between 12 teams. The Bruins first team finish with 1st place while the Bruins second team finished with 7th place. Pondo finished with thirteen undefeated wrestlers between the two teams. Next up for the Bruins will be the Jailbreak Duals on Saturday.

WRESTLING SEASON BEGINS
T.J. Spangler and the Bruins hosted their first meets of the year last Wednesday night. Making the trip to the newly remodeled Ponderosa gym were Consumnes Oaks and Vista del Lago.
